Cops: Man pulls gun on 7-year-old in Pembroke Park, telling him, ‘Don’t be all up in my business’

PEMBROKE PARK, Fla. – A man pointed a gun at his girlfriend’s 7-year-old son in Pembroke Park Wednesday because the young boy was “up in (his) business,” according to police.

Brian Marvin Carridice, 34, of Miramar, is facing three felonies following his arrest.

In an arrest report, officials with the Broward State Attorney’s Office redacted information about where the incident occurred in Pembroke Park, but police said it happened at around 7 a.m.

Police said Carridice warned the boy, “Don’t be all up in my business,” as he pointed the Ruger LCP 380 pistol at him.

The arrest report states it happened during a domestic dispute. It states that after officers arrived, they confiscated the gun and found two bags of marijuana in Carridice’s bag.

Pembroke Park police officers arrested Carridice on charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, aggravated child abuse and felony marijuana possession.

According to court records, Carridice has been arrested twice before after alleged domestic-related incidents, including on a charge of aggravated battery on a pregnant victim. Those records show that prosecutors dropped both cases soon after.

In his latest case, Carridice is being held in the Broward Main Jail on a $55,000 bond.
