Cottle Village to bring restaurant, distillery and entertainment concept to Cottleville
ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) – Construction is underway to build a unique concept in the city of Cottleville that will house a restaurant, bar, distillery, stage and more.
“You can come with your friends and have a cocktail, grab a good dinner, or go outside and listen to some music or do a whiskey tasting,” explained Emily Savage, the co-owner of Cottle Village.
Emily and Stephen Savage live in the Cottleville area and are excited to bring something new to the city.
“We saw the need for a neighborhood restaurant that has an abundance of seating. It’ll have 270, combined with an outdoor space,” said Stephen Savage.
Savage has long been in the hospitality industry. He owns Wheelhouse, The Midwestern and Start Bar in Downtown St. Louis.
He said he first thought of the idea back in 2020, based on his experience going to Kentucky and wanted to bring something similar to the region, especially the ability to taste straight from the barrel.
“There’s no one really doing that; you don’t have the opportunity,” he said.
The Tavern and the Distillery are expected to open later this year. They’re partnering with Demetrius Cain, owner of Noletons Distining in Union.
The second phase will consist of The Tiny Tavern, a century-old shed on the property, which will turn into a fast-casual walk-up spot. There will also be an outdoor stage where they will have live music.
Cottleville is one of the fastest-growing communities in the region, and with growth comes traffic. Savage says they plan to work with the community.
“We’re always going to be a good neighbor. We’re looking into and advocating to get a stop light put out [on Highway N],” said Savage.
