Country singer Jelly Roll gives funny and emotional thank you to fans during State College show
Country music sensation Jelly Roll put on a stellar show during his visit to State College Tuesday, and he made sure to acknowledge his fans’ contribution to his success.
The singer took off in 2022 with the release of two songs, “Son of a Sinner” and “Need a Favor,” and has since become a driving force in the country music industry. Jelly Roll takes a different approach to country music, creating songs to help listeners heal and grow in their experiences.
During his performance, he took the time to acknowledge the willpower it takes to go to a concert today and the willingness to listen to him and his wife, Alyssa DeFord, or Bunnie Xo.
“I want to thank y’all for not only this show, but I know what a pain in the ass it is to go to a concert, especially in the middle of a work week,” he told the crowd. “I know y’all went out of your way to be here tonight. You paid ridiculous fees, and you stood in the rain. Some of y’all called out of work for this, and some of you might still be going to work.”
Fans laughed and cheered at his heartfelt and funny thank you as the singer proceeded to talk about how he appreciated the support.
“I want to thank y’all for listening to my music and my wife’s podcast,” said Jelly Roll. “We wouldn’t be doing this without your support, and I just wanna say thank you.”
