Crook caught on camera vandalizing Miramar business twice in same night

MIRAMAR, Fla. – A Broward County business owner is upset after his store was vandalized before its grand opening.

It happened at just before 2 a.m. Friday at the Forever Smoke Shop located along south Palm Avenue in Miramar.

Surveillance video shows a man come out of the shadows holding a pair of hammers.

The man is seen viciously smashing the front windows and door of the business, and then in a weird and almost calculated move, he pulls out his phone and snaps a photo of all the damage.

He then is seen on camera heading to the back of the business, where he does the same thing, including taking a photo of his handiwork before running off.

Strangely, he comes back 20 minutes later and smashed up the front of the store even more before making one final blow to the surveillance cameras.

The owner showed up in the morning to find all the damage.

The grand opening of The Forever Smoke Shop is supposed to be on Saturday, but this could change things.

Anthony Pascariella, the owner of tattoo parlor Major Ink Studios, works just a few shops down.

He’s been in this plaza for over five years.

“I can’t believe something like this would happen to him,” Pascariella said. “He’s a great guy.”

The owner did not want to talk on camera out of fear, because he doesn’t know who would do this, or why.
