Crusaders take two from Zion in come-from-behind fashion | Local Sports Journal

GRANDVILLE – The Muskegon Catholic Central baseball team managed to bag a pair of Alliance League wins for a sweep over Zion Christian on Monday evening.

The Crusaders trailed in both games, but battled back to stay perfect in the conference.

In game one, Owen Lyonnais threw a complete game. He gave up six hits and struck out two batters.

Dewey Modaff had two hits and a pair of runs. Bryan Convertini and Jacob Lyonnais added two hits apiece.

Jacob Lyonnais allowed five hits and struck out two from the mound in the nightcap.

Jacob Lyonnais also chipped in two hits, while Croix Klint knocked in the go-ahead run with a single.

Muskegon Catholic Central (16-3 overall, 8-0 Alliance) will be at home against Zion Christian on Thursday for a single game to complete the series.
