CWS 2024: Game times, matchups set for opening weekend

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – The 2024 College World Series is here, as Omaha gears up to welcome thousands of baseball fans from across the country.

There is an app available to help you navigate everything CWS, but here are some of the basics to get you started:

WHO’S COMING TO OMAHA?

Every team in this year’s College World Series comes from one of two conferences: the SEC or the ACC. Florida, Kentucky, Tennessee, and Texas A&M represent the SEC, while Florida State, Virginia, North Carolina and North Carolina State come from the ACC.

GAME SCHEDULE

Friday, June 14

  • 1 p.m. — Virginia vs. North Carolina
  • 6 p.m. — Florida State vs. Tennessee

Saturday, June 15

  • 1 p.m. — Kentucky vs. NC State
  • 6 p.m. — Florida vs. Texas A&M

Sunday, June 16

  • 1 p.m. — Loser of Virginia/North Carolina vs. Loser of FSU/Tennessee
  • 6 p.m. — Winner of Virginia/North Carolina vs. Winner of FSU/Tennessee

Monday, June 17

  • 1 p.m. — Loser of Kentucky/NC State vs. Loser of Florida/Texas A&M
  • 6 p.m. — Winner of Kentucky/NC State vs. Winner of Florida/Texas A&M

TICKET INFORMATION

Tickets to the CWS are available through TicketMaster. Prices as of Monday afternoon were ranging from $44-$128 for the 1 p.m. game and $98-$128 for the 6 p.m. game, compared to $135-$533 for the first finals game on Saturday afternoon, June 22.
