Entertainment gossip and news from Newsweek’s network of contributors

Darius Rucker is such a staunch supporter of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce‘s romance that he would cancel his entire tour to go to their wedding.

The country star, who exclusively spoke to Newsweek Entertainment about his partnership with As One Cru Wines, isn’t just motivated by his own chart-topping career in the industry — one that includes three Grammy Awards, an induction into the Grand Ole Opry, and massive hits both as the frontman of Hootie & The Blowfish and as a solo artist. And he may be passionate about the brand’s wine list, sipping on their 2021 Pinot Noir and 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon as well as choosing which of his biggest hits would pair best with each spirit. But nothing comes close to how he pumped he’d be if Swift and Kelce tied the knot.

“I hope they are [The Ones]!” Rucker declared to Newsweek Entertainment. “Over the years, we’ve seen Taylor date folks and she writes these great songs about ’em and it’s great. I hope she found her One. I hope she found The One she wants to settle down and have kids with.”

However, the “Wagon Wheel” hitmaker, who called Swift and Kelce a “great couple,” doesn’t just “hope they get married and have kids” — he has one more special request: “I hope I’m invited to the wedding!” quipped Rucker, who has known Swift since she was 16.

In fact, Rucker — who performed his hit “Alright” alongside Swift during the South Carolina date of her 2011 Speak Now tour — would be so down to duet with the pop star at her hypothetical wedding to Kelce, that he would, to quote Swift herself, “Drop everything now.”

“I’m gonna drop my tour to go do that,” he laughed.
