Deadly shooting outside shopping center leaves two young men dead

SAN ANTONIO – Two men are dead following a shooting in the parking lot of a shopping center on the city’s Northside.

The shooting happened around 2 a.m. at the Park North Shopping Center located at 618 NW Loop 410.

According to the Sergeant on the scene, officers responded to reports of a shooting in progress. Upon arrival, they discovered two men in their mid-to-late twenties suffering from gunshot wounds. Despite life-saving measures by police and emergency medical services (EMS), both victims were pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities say they are working with security personnel at the Alamo Draft House to gather possible suspect information. While security reported seeing two men fleeing the scene, the Sergeant said that everyone scattered upon police arrival.

No other injuries were reported. Officers from the Homicide Unit are leading the investigation.
