The Captain and A-Rod have weighed in.

New York Yankees greats Derek Jeter and Alex Rodriguez made their 2024 World Series predictions following Tuesday night’s MLB All-Star Game as part of FOX’s postgame show.

Jeter led off with his pick, not selecting his former team, but taking the Philadelphia Phillies over the Baltimore Orioles in October.

“As it sits now, the Philadelphia Phillies are the best team in baseball in my opinion,” Jeter said, adding that the Orioles would make it there because their minor league system is stacked and is best positioned to make the moves necessary to reach the World Series.

Rodriguez then made his pick, telling Jeter, “Not so fast, Captain!” with a smile. Rodriguez then said that as long as Yankees GM Brian Cashman comes up big at the trade deadline, the Yankees would go on to defeat the Los Angeles Dodgers in seven games.

David Ortiz, the Boston Red Sox legend, then grabbed a Red Sox helmet and declared that his Sox would make the right moves that would get them to the World Series and defeat the Phillies for the title.
