SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) – World War Two changed the Suncoast from sleepy fishing villages to the modern cities we became. The Suncoast was a crucial part of the Army Air Corps, training pilots to shoot down enemy planes, and training the support crews to keep the pilots in the air. But why in Venice? Here’s the story.
