Dothan’s Mayor Saliba will speak at 124th National Black Business Conference and The World Conference of Mayors

TUSKEGEE, Ala. (WTVY) – Dothan Mayor Mark Saliba will represent his hometown as he opens not one, but two municipal events.

Saliba, the President of the Alabama League of Municipalities (ALM) will welcome the 124th National Black Business Conference (NBBC) and The World Conference of Mayors (WCM)’s 40th Anniversary Breakfast Meeting, according to a statement from the City of Dothan.

The NBBC in conjunction with the WCM will focus on the training and development of mayors and other officials, enhancing their capacity to lead and serve both the public and private sectors in communities worldwide.

As President of the Alabama League, Mayor Saliba will represent over 450 cities across Alabama.

Dr. Kenneth Harris, President of the National Business League (NBL), along with Charles DeBow, President of the National Black Chamber of Commerce (NBCC), both agreed they are proud to have Mayor Saliba in attendance at the event.

Along with Mayor Saliba, Dr. Mark Brown, the President of Tuskegee University, will speak at the ceremony.

When Dr. Harris and DeBow return with the conference to Atlanta, the Honorable Joseph Nyumah Boakai, President of Liberia, will act as keynote speaker.
