So long, October!
If you’re not ready to move on from spooky season quite yet, there are two versions of Bram Stoker’s terrifying tale currently being staged locally. Sink your teeth into “Dracula: Mark of the Vampire” at the Footlights Theatre in Falmouth or head to Monmouth for “Dracula.”
Prefer your entertainment from the couch? You can stream the new Maine-made film “The Ghost Trap.” The film is based on K. Stephens’ book about a Maine lobsterman.
But wait, there’s more local movie news! You can also stream the charming film “Hangdog,” which was shot in Portland in 2022. Here’s an interview with its director to wet your (dog) whistle.
With Halloween in the rearview mirror, it’s time to segue into holiday craft fair season! We’ve shined a light on 13 extra awesome ones, including the Fiere de Natale Italian-themed fair on Saturday and the Lost and Found Market on Sunday, both in Portland.
We also have a huge guide to a bunch of other craft fairs that we’re constantly adding to. BYOTB (bring your own tote bag) and have at it.
For what will surely be an amazing aural experience, head to the Cathedral of St. Luke in Portland at either 10 a.m. or 3 p.m. Sunday. There you can enjoy a free performance of Gabriel Fauré’s ‘Requiem’ by the church’s chamber choir.
