Its three brands include Parafait, which provides complete solutions for indoor entertainment venues; Tixera, a complete solution for ticketing and Midway venues; and Deliko, an F&B solution for school/corporate cafeterias and QRS chains.

Semnox’s most recent innovations, including breakthroughs in mobile apps for smooth visitor engagement, self-service solutions, the most advanced RFID readers, and its patented time management (RADIAN) solution, demonstrate its dedication to innovation. These developments aim to satisfy the industry’s rising expectations, centring on giving guests seamless, engaging experiences.

The firm’s improved systems provide a complete solution that includes digital signage, self-service kiosks, inventory management, lockers, time management, and cashless transactions. This allows entertainment venues to streamline operations and provide guests with customised experiences.

A new UK chapter

In January, Semnox Solutions officially opened its new UK office in Reading. This symbolises its ongoing dedication to providing services to the UK and European markets, as well as its continued growth in the region.

The firm held a celebratory launch event for the new office, which many of its valued clients attended. Aaron Jones, director of Pleasure Beach in Great Yarmouth, and Billy Ball, owner of Clacton Pier, were among the notable guests, demonstrating Semnox’s commitment to developing solid alliances throughout the sector. Others, like Paul Marston from Playnation and Charles Holland from JHS Entertainment, sent their best wishes to the team.

New developments

Semnox Solutions is continually pushing the boundaries of innovation and technology to meet the evolving demands of the attractions industry.

“We are excited to announce several new developments that will be showcased at the upcoming IAAPA shows, reflecting our commitment to staying ahead of industry trends and delivering cutting-edge solutions,” says Kamath.

This includes the KwickFun Mobile Validation App, a cloud-based solution tailored for the funfair and seasonal event market.

“This app is designed to streamline operations by eliminating the need for heavy investments in local servers and extensive network cabling for businesses. It offers a flexible and efficient way to manage ticket validations. Therefore, it is an ideal solution for companies that operate in dynamic and temporary environments.

“Another exciting innovation is our Kompact Kiosk. True to its name, this is a compact version of our self-service kiosk model, designed to fit more units into smaller spaces. With the option to wall-mount these kiosks, businesses can maximise their available space. Meanwhile, they can still offer all the functionalities that guests expect, from card purchases to top-ups and others.”

In addition, the company has announced a new partnership with Adyen Payment Gateway:

“This collaboration eliminates the need for third-party processors, enabling faster onboarding, seamless integration and deployment of the latest payment features. Our clients across the region can benefit from the latest options, such as Google Pay and Apple Pay support. They can also enjoy advanced features like integrated pay-by-link and recurring payment options.

A customer-centric approach

Speaking about what makes the company unique, Kamath says:

“We stand out in the industry due to our commitment to innovation, flexibility, and customer-centric solutions. We pride ourselves on offering a comprehensive and integrated platform. This seamlessly combines cashless systems, RFID technology, self-service kiosks, and advanced ticketing solutions.”

In addition, the firm’s ability to customise and scale its offerings to meet the specific needs of various venues—whether a small arcade or a large amusement park—sets it apart from competitors.

“We have consistently exceeded the industry’s expectations for the last 17+ years.”

A clear vision underpins this dedication:

“We want to revolutionise the way businesses in the entertainment and leisure industry operate by providing cutting-edge technology that enhances efficiency, boosts customer satisfaction, and drives revenue growth.”

The integrated suite of products

A cornerstone of the company’s offering is the focus on creating an all-in-one solution. This has proven transformative for theme parks, water parks, FECs, museums, aquariums, restaurants and food courts, VR experience centres, and more. The integrated solution helps automate procedures and achieve efficient operations. With Semnox, operators can oversee every facet of their customers’ experience without being bogged down by a dozen different systems.

“Semnox is a robust, scalable platform that integrates various aspects of venue management into a single, seamless system,” says Kamath.

Semnox encompasses various solution components, such as a host of card readers with touchscreens, an in-built operating system, RFID and barcode reading capabilities, and a variety of outdoor and indoor self-service kiosks that can dispense RIFD cards or wristbands, sign waivers, or sell attractions.

Regarding e-commerce, Semnox offers an integrated solution that allows customers to purchase new cards or wristbands, top up existing cards, add family members, check activities, reserve parties, book attraction slots, entry tickets, and much more. The suite of products also offers comprehensive inventory and redemption management tools. As a result, businesses can effortlessly manage stocks, suppliers, costs, and locations.

Thanks to Semnox’s centralised operation, procedures have also been simplified. The hybrid architecture allows operators with multiple locations to manage the business with a central management and reporting console.

Semnox Solutions: making operations more efficient

The Semnox product suite, including Tixera and Parafait, is designed to drive digital transformation in the entertainment and leisure industry. These solutions are delivering substantial efficiency gains to businesses.

“At the heart of this transformation are our RFID cashless readers for arcade machines and self-service kiosks for card issuance. While many solutions in the market stop here, Semnox goes further. We offer a comprehensive range of components that enable true digital transformation across all aspects of business operations.”

“Our solution extends beyond the basics. It includes features like outdoor-rated readers for rides, the KwickFun Mobile App for validations, an integrated e-commerce platform, capacity management and slot booking systems, digital signage, digital waiver, time-based billing at play areas and many more. These components streamline operations, reduce manual processes, and enhance the overall guest experience, leading to increased efficiency and profitability.”

“We remain dedicated to continuous innovation, introducing new solution components that further enhance operational efficiency and empower business owners to achieve comprehensive digital transformation in this digital age.”

Satisfied clients: Chuck E Cheese, Great Yarmouth Pleasure Beach and more

Semnox works with clients across the entertainment and leisure industry, offering technology solutions tailored to manage various venues. A notable Parafait customer is the popular Chuck E Cheese chain.

Chuck E Cheese, one of our prominent clients, stands as a testament to our expertise and effectiveness in enhancing the operational efficiency and customer experience within the entertainment sector. CEC started using our Parafait system in 2013. Today, Semnox’s Parafait System manages all 500+ Chuck E. Cheese locations and 100+ Peter Piper Pizza locations.”

One happy Tixera user is Great Yarmouth Pleasure Beach in the UK. Before using Semnox, Great Yarmouth Pleasure Beach used metal tokens and paper bands for park operations. These systems required a lot of manual labour, such as counting tokens and authenticating membership cards.

Recently, the iconic attraction decided to use Semnox’s cutting-edge technology to modernise and streamline operations. Automating core processes and reducing manual activities frees up time for park leadership and staff. This means they can focus on strategic marketing and development, as well as growth and guest experience. In addition, thorough reporting from Semnox’s technologies aids decision-making.

“We take pride in the fact that our clients consistently refer and recommend us to their friends and family,” says Kamath.

With the company’s experience in the attractions industry, it is well-placed to help clients stay ahead of the curve. Speaking about some of the most significant developments in the sector, Kamath says:

Recent trends in the attractions industry show a clear shift towards creating immersive, all-encompassing experiences for visitors. Today’s attractions are no longer limited to just one type of activity. They are evolving into multi-faceted entertainment hubs that offer a wide range of experiences under one roof.”

“This holistic approach to guest engagement presents a significant challenge: managing the diverse nature of these activities with a system that is both comprehensive and cohesive.

“Recognising this trend, we at Semnox have aligned our strategy to meet the demands of these next-gen attractions. We do this by offering a single, integrated system to manage the entire spectrum of business operations. This unified system simplifies operations. In addition, it enhances the overall guest experience by ensuring seamless interactions across all touchpoints within the attraction.”

For instance, a guest can use an RFID card to access a trampoline park, purchase a snack, and then seamlessly transition to a VR attraction without needing separate tickets or payments. Behind the scenes, the business also benefits from streamlined reporting, centralised data management, loyalty programs, and the ability to make informed decisions based on comprehensive insights.
