Eastern Michigan Sports Medicine Announces Staff Promotions and New Hires – Eastern Michigan University Athletics
Danielle Darroch has been promoted to senior associate athletic trainer and will continue working with the women’s soccer team. Kassidy Jensen has advanced to associate athletic trainer and will now dedicate herself to the volleyball program, transitioning from her previous role with rowing. Jake Keary has also been promoted to associate athletic trainer and will continue providing care for the gymnastics team.
“I’m thrilled to announce the promotions of Danielle, Kassidy, and Jake,” said Gretchen Fox, Senior Associate Athletics Director for Health and Well-Being. “They each have shown an unwavering commitment to our student-athletes and sports medicine program. They have elevated the healthcare to their student-athletes and add tremendous value and knowledge to our sports medicine staff.”
Marc Malek joins as an assistant athletic trainer and will work with the women’s rowing team. He brings a wealth of experience from his roles at Madonna University, where he served as a head athletic trainer and Michigan Stars FC. His administrative and clinical expertise make him a strong addition to Eastern Michigan Sports Medicine. Malek will start his new role on Nov. 11.
Brandon Charping will also join as an assistant athletic trainer, focusing on baseball. Charping’s experience includes his recent work with the University of Akron’s baseball team and a background in the MLB Draft League with the Mahoning Valley Scrappers. He is set to begin on Nov. 18.
I’m excited to have Marc and Brandon complete our staff. Marc’s prior administrative experiences have fully prepared him to make an immediate impact on our sports medicine program, and I know he will provide a high level of healthcare to our women’s rowing program. Brandon’s name often emerged throughout this search, and he brings a wealth of knowledge with him in treating the overhead-throwing athlete. I am confident he will be a great addition to our staff and positively impact the health and safety of the baseball program. I’m excited to welcome Brandon and his family to Ypsilanti soon.”
