Eckwahl’s 75 Paces Senior Tour


CAMBRIDGE SPRINGS, Pa. — Brian Eckwahl shot a 75 to lead the Asquith Senior Tour during its stop at Riverside Golf Course on Tuesday.

Using Stableford scoring, Randy Peterson led the White A Flight with a minus-1, Mark Digiloramo was minus-2 and Randy Herron was minus-3. Dan Benson shot an 89.

In the White B Flight, Mike Abbate was plus-2, Bob Huber was even-0 and Roger Overend was minus-4. Huber led the way with an 87.

Eckwahl was plus-3 to lead the Gold A Flight. Sam Allesi and Don Hustead were plus-2.

Jack Brunco shot an 84 and was plus-6 to lead the Gold B Flight. David Gayton was plus-1 and Tony Falcone was even-0.

Ron Willey shot a 92 in the Gold C Flight. Rick St. George was plus-3, Russ Vacanti was plus-2 and Jeff Robinson was plus-1.

Clyde Mohl shot a 90 and was plus-8 in the Gold D Flight. Dan Barry was plus-3 and Art Asquith was plus-2.

Closest-to-the-pin honors went to Chet Shields (No. 3), Asquith (No. 8), Paul Trusso (No. 11) and Jim Smith (No. 13).

Next week the tour will play the Hill Course at Chautauqua Golf Club and on Sept. 3, the location will be Kane Country Club.
