Educators meet with business leaders to help students get jobs
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT)—Over 300 Fayette County educators will meet with Lexington business leaders on Monday to help students prepare for the workforce.
The event, named the Educator’s Guide to Industry, is a collaboration between Fayette County Public Schools (FCPS) and the Kentucky Chamber Foundation.
More than 20 businesses are attending the event, including Gray Inc., UK HealthCare, the Lexington Legends and Eastern Kentucky University.
According to a release, educators will have an opportunity to tour businesses and speak with leaders about preparing students for industry needs.
Mingling will begin at Tates Creek High School around 8:30 a.m., with a panel discussion beginning at 11:15 a.m. The event is closed to the public.
