A post on LinkedIn indicates that the Italy-based Elenos Group has been acquired by DACTA, an Italian broadcast company that was founded by Marco Brivio last year.
In the post, Dacta says that Elenos and its brands ITELCO and PTV have officially become part of its “perimeter.” The post does not specifically mention Elenos’ Broadcast Electronics brand. Radio World has reached out to Elenos and DACTA for further comment.
“The transaction represents not only a strategic evolution, but a continuous commitment to guaranteeing increasingly innovative and high-performance products and solutions, destined to support the future of broadcasting,” DACTA said in its LinkedIn post.
The company said an official statement with further details will follow in the coming days. DACTA said its mission is to “overcome technological boundaries” and “focus on creativity, innovation and equipment safety,” through environmental, social and governance principles.
In 2017, Elenos acquired radio equipment manufacturer Broadcast Electronics. BE was founded in 1959 and began manufacturing transmitters in 1977.
