Elon Musk launches ‘X TV’ beta, available now on select app stores
AUSTIN, Texas (WKRC) – Elon Musk announced the launch of the X TV app’s beta.
Forbes reported back in April that X’s new video app will be compatible with most smart televisions and feature a tailored algorithm.
Musk announcedMonday the launch of X TV’s beta in a post to the social media platform, formerly known as Twitter.
“Beta version of ? TV is out,” Musk wrote.
According to Digital Trends,the X TV beta is currently available from LG and Amazon’s app store, along with on Google Play. The Amazon app shows that X TV has been live since July, while the LG app store shows that it has been live since August 29, per the outlet.
To watch content on X TV you must first log into or sign up for an X account. According to Digital Trends, Musk’s new app promises to offer exclusive content, news and live events.
“The X app is the trusted global digital town square for everyone, on your TV! Discover a new way to experience the world of X, as we bring you unique and engaging content right to your living room,” the app’s description reads on Google Play.
The video shared by Musk appears to tease exclusive content from both SpaceX and Tucker Carlson.
