Elon Musk says he may face ‘vengeance’ for backing Trump if he loses

  • Elon Musk told Tucker Carlson he might face “vengeance” if Trump loses the Presidential election.
  • The Tesla CEO has become an outspoken supporter of Trump, setting up a super PAC and speaking at his rally.
  • He also doubled down on a deleted X post questioning why no one had tried to kill VP Kamala Harris.

Elon Musk has become one of Donald Trump’s biggest supporters — and he thinks it may backfire if Trump loses.

The Tesla CEO told former Fox News host Tucker Carlson that he might face “vengeance” if Vice President Kamala Harris triumphs in the presidential election.

“In the hopefully unlikely event that he [Trump] loses, there may be some vengeance on me … It’s possible,” said Musk, a frequent critic of Harris and President Joe Biden, in the interview posted on X.

Musk has been outspoken in his support for Trump in recent months, recently speaking at the former president’s rally at Butler, Pennsylvania, the site of an assassination attempt in July. And the billionaire has also created a pro-Trump super PAC.

Trump has even reportedly considered offering Musk a position in his cabinet.

The Tesla CEO, a frequent critic of government regulations — especially when they impact his businesses — has said he would be “willing to serve” in a “Department of Government Efficiency.”

Musk also doubled down on a now-deleted X post in which he questioned why there had been no assassination attempts on Biden or Harris in the aftermath of an apparent second assassination attempt on Trump.

“Nobody’s even bothering to try to kill Kamala because it’s pointless. No one’s trying to kill Biden, because it’s pointless. They’ll just find another puppet,” said Musk in the interview with Carlson.

Musk deleted the initial X post, which the White House criticized, claiming that users on the platform did not understand his sense of humor.

Elon Musk did not respond to a request for comment, sent outside normal working hours.
