Employers look for talent at Fox Cities Job Fair

APPLETON, Wis. (WBAY) – Some companies in our area are looking for new talent. The Fox Cities Exhibition Center hosted a job fair Tuesday.

About 100 companies came ready to meet job candidates for manufacturing, health care, and office positions.

There were a lot of roles to fill no matter a candidate’s age, education or previous work experience.

Bobbi Miller, the business solutions manager for the Fox Valley Workforce Development Board, says job fairs are a great chance to make a connection in-person.

“It can feel a little bit intimidating to go into this large room with all these people, but it’s one conversation at a time. What I tell the job seeker is, don’t worry about all those booths at one time, worry about one or two,” Miller said.

The workforce development board recommends dressing business casual and to bring a few copies of your resume.
