Employment Expo opens the door for job seekers

JONESBORO, Ark. (KAIT) – Several community members searching for jobs and workers gathered at the Region 8 Employment Expo.

Several employers from organizations across NEA gathered at the Embassy Suites Red Wolf Convention Center to mingle with local job seekers on Thursday, May 9. The expo was held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.

One Jonesboro mother came to find job openings for herself and her son. Tracy Privett said the professional event is a great opportunity for job seekers of all ages.

“It’s never bad to see what jobs are out here in Jonesboro,” Privett said. “Opportunities are here for any and all.”

Employers set up booths promoting their business with merchandise and job applications. Community members brought their resumes for employers to review.
