Entertainment critic Derek Sante checks out Trigger Warning, The Exorcism

LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — Streaming its way onto Netflix is a new action film starring Jessica Alba and it’s called Trigger Warning. Alba stars as a Special Forces commando who must return home to deal with family issues, only to uncover violence as a gang runs rampant. A straight-up action film that wants to be John Wick but falls apart with weak storytelling and CGI that pulls you out of the film. Grade: C

Next, we turn to theaters for a movie about evil, but not always the ones you expect; it’s called The Exorcism. Starring Russell Crowe and Ryan Simpkins, the film starts very meta as we focus on a failed actor who starts to unravel during the movie shoot of an Exorcism movie. Grade: C+

Lastly, I caught up with comedian Natasha Leggero, who’s on her way to do comedy at Wise Guys this weekend. The Comedy Central favorite has a long history taking the stage in Vegas and putting the hurt on celebs at the roasts, when she’s not recording her popular podcasts.
