Entertainment lineup unveiled for World Championship Barbecue Cooking Contest

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) – The entertainment lineup for the 2024 World Championship Barbecue Cooking Contest has been unveiled.

This year’s event will be held at Liberty Park from May 15-18.

The fan-favorite Barbecue Sauce Wrestling will take place Wednesday night. Alternative rock band Marcy Playground will perform on Thursday, and local rock band Ingram Hill will play Friday. DJ MicTee from K97 will perform Saturday. These events will all happen at the Cattlemen’s Main Stage.

The Home Depot Outdoor Kitchen will feature meet and greets with free samples from pitmasters including Moe Cason, Joe Davidson, Megan & Jason Day, Chris Lilly, “Grill Girl” Robyn Lindars, Rasheed Phillips, Mike Starr, Tuffy Stone, “Bama Grill Master” Tim Van Doren, “BBQ Ninja” Craig Verhage & Leslie Scott and Tim Van Doren.

The McCormick Demo Stage will feature take-home culinary tips and a special meet and greet with Rocky Stubblefield of Stubb’s Bar-B-Q Sauce.

The Cooker Caravan with Heath Riles BBQ is an escorted tour where you can learn directly from competitors on Thursday and Friday between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m.

The Kingsford Tour of Champions is where barbecue can be judged–guests on the tour will visit teams, sample barbecue and cast their ballot.
