El Paso Community College Fashion students paid homage to the iconic Selena Quintanilla-Pérez during a special Earth Day fashion show.

The event was held at The Market at Camp Cohen on Saturday located at 9700 Gateway Boulevard North.

The El Paso Museum of Art and The Market combined to spearhead the sustainable fashion segment of this year’s Earth Day market.

EPCC Fashion students showed their creativity and talent by designing eco-friendly outfits inspired by Selena’s legendary style.

The ‘Selena’ Fashion Show featured many designs that pay tribute to Selena’s fashion-forward aesthetic while emphasizing the importance of sustainability and environmental consciousness.

Samantha Renteria, the student producer for this unique event, along with director Susana Munoz Cereceres, played pivotal roles in bringing this Selena-inspired fashion extravaganza to life.

The Market at Camp Cohens served as the perfect backdrop for the fashion show, which was a part of the larger market.

Attendees had the opportunity to explore a variety of local vendors, indulge in delicious food offerings, and enjoy live entertainment throughout the day.

The collaboration between EPCC’s Fashion Program, the El Paso Museum of Art, and The Market not only celebrated Selena’s enduring legacy but also highlighted the importance of sustainable fashion practices, aligning with the spirit of Earth Day.
