Erling Haaland’s Preferred Method of Strength Training Is Chopping Mountain Wood

You might assume star striker Erling Haaland’s fitness routine involves elaborate gym equipment, and judging by recent team social media clips, you’d be right. However, he also reveals that chopping wood in the mountains is a key part of his strength training.

In a new video shared on X, Haaland embraces a simpler approach to fitness, which includes chopping wood, hiking in the mountains, and meditating on a rock in the middle of a river.

In the clip, the cameraman says, ‘Cutting wood in the mountains is the most Erling Haaland thing I’ve heard.’

‘My father forced me; I didn’t have a choice,’ Haaland replies.

The 23-year-old is no stranger to bespoke training and nutrition methods, having previously shared his love for meat, filtered water, and pre-match meals of lasagne cooked by his father. He claimed his total daily diet surmounted to almost 6000 calories a day.

Haaland, now in his third season at Man City, will be looking to rediscover the form that set the Premier League alight almost three years ago. Maybe this new way of training will help.
