Essentia Health Fitness Expo Launches Grandma’s Marathon Weekend – Fox21Online

DULUTH, Minn. — As the Grandma’s crowd gets settled in before tomorrow’s race, runners gathered at the DECC for the Essentia Health Fitness Expo.

Starting last night, runners had the chance to grab their race packets with all necessary information for the big day. Every year the expo displays the latest in athletic wear and gear from over 100 vendors. But with over 20,000 people coming into Duluth for race day, the information booth has been busy directing runners and spectators on what Duluth has to offer.

“We love it because there’s just a lot of people asking a lot of questions,” said Information Booth Coordinator Tom Sutter. “We know the answers to lots of those questions, not necessarily all of them. But it’s very gratifying to know that we can help them out. Because they’re, you know, a lot of people who don’t know Duluth, they don’t understand where to go, what to do, where to watch their runners run.”

Racers are able to pick up their race-day packets until 11 p.m. at the DECC. The expo concludes Friday at 8 p.m.
