The name Ms. Marvel was the heroic name originally given to Carol Danvers when she first debuted in 1976. She held on to that identity for many years, only becoming Captain Marvel in 2012. Disney+ recently shared a first look at Ms. Marvel on their platform. This glimpse at the series showcased Kamala Khan and touched on her desire to be a superhero. Ms. Marvel introduces Kamala Khan—a 16-year-old Pakistani American from Jersey City. An aspiring artist, an avid gamer and a voracious fan-fiction scribe, she is a huge fan of the Avengers—and one in particular, Captain Marvel.
