Explora Journeys Adds New Onboard Entertainment Program

Luxury ocean travel brand Explora Journeys has announced a new entertainment program on board effective July 5.

The in-depth 14 day program features exclusive crafted performances featuring a new cast of international artists, an ensemble of musicians and hosts and also features an industry first: Digital Activities. 

Using special QR codes throughout the ship, guests can engage in unique daily activities on their devices, including Explora Journeys Trivia, Crosswords, and Word Searches themed to the journey’s locale, updated daily. Additionally, timeless games like Sudoku and Chess can be enjoyed at any spot on the ship.

“We are thrilled to introduce more activities and performances, bringing each journey to life with colour and variety,” said Steve Leatham, Vice President of Entertainment, Cruises Division, MSC Cruises.Our team will captivate younger guests in the Nautilus, with new activities and events enhancing this award-winning family program.”

Guests can delight in everything from DJ and Saxophone sets to the Songbook series honouring artists like Billy Joel and Carole King. New experiences include Voices of Vegas featuring music from Sinatra to Adele, and Motor City, a feel-good musical revue with outstanding musicians. New performers will also shine as solo artists supported by musicians, with Electric Violinists and West End singers among the resident team.

This summer, a variety of visiting performers, cultured luminaries, and the newest lineup of Steinway Exclusive performers will ensure a fresh and exciting experience each evening.

A fleet of six luxury ships will be launched from 2023 to 2028, starting with EXPLORA I’s delivery that took place on July 24, 2023.  EXPLORA II has just successfully passed her sea trials and will come into service in 2024. EXPLORA III will come into service in 2026 and EXPLORA IV in 2027 with both ships being LNG-powered. EXPLORA V and EXPLORA VI will enter service in 2027 and 2028, respectively.
