Exploring lacquer art: Fashion and future

Lacquer fans has been a trend among fashion lovers in China for some time, both online and offline. With a gentle float of lacquer in water, everyone can create their own unique lacquer fan. With lacquer art returning to the public view, how is this traditional craft received by the public, and how can it be passed down into future generations?

With these questions, Xenia, a designer from the Netherlands, talked with professor Pu Meihe of Hubei Institute of Fine Arts in Wuhan, Hubei province. How do young people perceive this time-honored craft? What are some creatives ways to apply lacquer art in more daily items?
