Fair Chance Job Fair connects youth with opportunities

CINCINNATI (WXIX) – Save Our Youth: Kings and Queens hosted a job fair on Saturday in Winton Terrace.

The local organization is working to give Tri-State youth and adults a fair chance at job opportunities with its Fair Chance Job Fair.

“It’s one thing to gather, but to be able to gather them to take action against what’s happening in our city is a beautiful thing,” Michell Morris, Director of the Cincinnati Works’ Phoenix Program, said. “That’s what we’re here to try to do today.”

Several local companies participated in the fair, hoping to fill vacant positions and connect with the community.

“This is a combination of partnerships to try to do some healing in this community,” Morris said. “From the violence and stuff that happens all throughout the city.”

Morris said it was helpful the city supported the event.
