The release of the Fallout TV show has breathed new life into the series. Fans are heading back into their favorite wasteland and revisiting the strange world of Fallout. Fallout 4 has received a next-gen update for console and PC with all sorts of new improvements as well as some new bugs.
Fallout 4 was the first game in the series to add settlements. You can do your part to rebuild society by building and maintaining small towns all over the Commonwealth. These settlements are completely optional but can make life in the wasteland easier if you invest enough time in them. You’re probably going to be spending a lot of time at your home settlement repairing and upgrading your power armor. Here is how you can build custom Fast Travel Targets to streamline your gameplay and get right back into the action.
Fallout 4 Player Makes Accurate Norm MacLean
One Fallout 4 player recreates Norm MacLean, a breakout character and fan favorite from the recent Fallout television show on Amazon Prime.
Gain Access to a Workshop
You will gain access to a workshop by playing the opening segments of the game. Your home in Sanctuary isn’t as idyllic as before the bombs dropped. It’s up to you if you want to get rid of the ruined houses and start fresh. Sanctuary is the best place to set up shop as you will get a head start on settlers and resources here. It’s also far from many of the dangers the wasteland holds.
Meet Preston Garvey and his group as part of the first main quest. He will offer you membership in the Minutemen faction. Accept his radiant quests to help out other settlements in the wasteland. Doing so will align these settlements with the Minutemen. This will give you access to their workshop and allow you to build different sites in the Commonwealth.
How to Build Fast Travel Targets
There are several different types of structures you can build in your workshop. Access your workshop and scroll to the Miscellaneous section of the Resources tab. Scroll to the right to find the small welcome mat that acts as the Fast Travel Target. It takes two cloth and one rubber to build one. These can easily be found by scrapping the old tires and furniture left around Sanctuary. Build the Fast Travel Target and place it wherever you want. When you fast-travel to this area, you will spawn directly on top of it. You can only build one Fast Travel Target per settlement.
