Fallout 4 looks like Fallout 5 in jaw-dropping next-gen overhaul

Fallout 4 looks stunning

If you thought that Fallout 4 has never looked better thanks to the recent free new-gen update, think again because these mods will take your post-apocalyptic adventures to the next level.

Fallout 4 is the most recent single-player entry in Bethesda’s ever-popular RPG series and was first released for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in 2015, and recently benefited from its long-awaited free new-gen update.

Check out the Fallout 4 trailer below!

What’s more, the Fallout series had benefited from a massive player boom thanks to the recent release of the critically acclaimed, Amazon live-action series.

Despite having a bit of a rocky start, at least on console, thanks to the free new-gen update, Fallout 4 has never looked better when being played on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, offering both visual and performance modes.

However, on PC, if you have a capable system, you can improve Fallout 4 so much due to a plethora of available mods, that this game could be mistaken for Fallout 5.

As showcased on the YouTube channel Digital Dreams (thanks DSOgaming), supported by over 300 mods, Fallout 4 looks jaw-dropping powered by Nvidia GeForce RTX 4090 bringing 8K visuals, a targeted 100 frames-per-second and glorious reshade ray tracing.

Obviously, you will need one hell of a PC to power up Fallout 4 like this but thankfully at least, you can find all the mods needed in one place via Nexusmods.

However, it should be mentioned that the ‘Beyond all limits’ reshade ray tracing mod is hidden behind a Patreon paywall, which is unfortunate, but it is what it is.

Of course, despite Fallout 4 having mod support on consoles, this series of mods is only compatible with PC, otherwise, it would kill your PlayStation or Xbox.

Fallout 4 is out now on PC, PlayStation and Xbox. It’s also available to Xbox Game Pass subscribers at no extra cost.
