Fashion fans run to M&S to bag a bargain item – it’s perfect for ‘tallish’ women

FASHION fans are racing to Marks & Spencer’s to bag a pair of their bargain trousers which are “perfect for tallish” women. 

The Jersey wide leg trousers with a stretch comes in black and drops down to your ankles.

Praised as easy-to-wear, the trousers “tick all the boxes” when it comes to style and comfort. 

Describing the trousers, the Marks & Spencer‘s website says: “Carefully crafted with an elasticated high waist and a hint of stretch for ultimate comfort.”

And at a price of £17.50, shoppers are running to stores to get their hands on a pair.

The trousers which combine classic and contemporary styles have been praised by thousands of fashion fans. 

Many have taken to the fashion website itself to give a review as well as on other online forum sites including Mumsnet.

The wide leg trousers have been rated “excellent” by shoppers who have praised them for being able to be “dressed up or down.” 

One fashion fan, who rated them ‘excellent’ in the quality and good value for money department, added: “So smart. Easy to wear.”

Others have praised the product for being “just what they wanted”. 

Some fashion fans were confused by the wide leg and took to Mumsnet to share their thoughts. 

One said: “Keep seeing things about wide leg trousers are the way forward, ditch skinnies, straight etc, especially over 50. 

“The M&S ones are heavily promoted here as well.

Ordered a pair online, had to wait as they were out of stock. Picked them up today.

I look like I’m wearing a pair of flares from the 70s! They are very unflattering, there’s a lot of material. I don’t know if it’s because I’m tall but they look awful.

“Think I’ll go back to straight leg jeans thank you very much. So much for fashion!”

However, not everyone agreed with her and quickly shared their positive feedback on the trousers and how well they work for long legs.

One shopper wrote: “I love my flappy-legged trousers. I am also tall(ish) and with no discernible waist.

“But I hated skinny legs. I just owned no trousers for ten years, covering my legs as necessary with leggings or yoga pants. The yoga pants had flappy ankles.

“I guess if you’re used to parsnip-shaped legs, wide trousers will look and feel funny.

“Lucky for you, there are still plenty of parsnip pants in the shops!”

Another added: “You have to get your head round it!

“I have M&S wide leg pleated ones for work which I love and I have just bought a linen pair.

“I’m 5”7 so not short and slim and I have finally got used to them!”
