An Elegant Evening of Cars and Couture Fashion at LeMay — America’s Car Museum
Fashion District NW and Tacoma’s LeMay – America’s Car Museum are hosting from 6-11 p.m. on July 27 the sixth-annual Couture and Cars Fashion Show. The museum will transform to accommodate a runway showcasing the work of designers from all over the Pacific Northwest. Each outfit will be complemented by iconic, luxe automobiles. Learn more here.
Melanie’s Park Opens at Thea Foss Waterway
After about a year of work, Melanie Jan LaPlant Dressel Park in Tacoma opened on Thea Foss Waterway earlier this spring. The $4.6 million project is Northwest-themed and features a play area that includes a curvy metal slide that whirls down a 36-foot-high tower and a log jam play area that pays homage to the site’s industrial history.
