Final Erie County top performers of the week for District 10’s fall sports season

The Erie Times-News, for the final time during District 10’s fall sports season, will comprise a list of Erie County’s top performing athletes for a calendar week.
This top performers feature will return for the district’s winter sports season in mid-December and run through late March of 2025.
The county’s top performers for Oct. 29 through Nov 2 are:
Girls volleyball
Halle Guentner, McDowell: She recorded nine aces and 19 assists on offense for the Trojans, who swept Taylor Allderdice 25-13, 25-5, 25-20 in a PIAA Class 4A subregion match.
Boys soccer
Stefan Ninkovic, Fairview: He was among the offensive contributors (goal and an assist) when the Tigers shut out Harbor Creek 3-0 in a District 10 Class 2A semifinal at Dollinger Field.
Ethan Cain, Cathedral Prep: He scored twice for the Ramblers, who eliminated North East 5-3 in a district 2A semifinal at Fairview’s Jack Bestwick Stadium.
Girls soccer
Jenna Popowski, Fort LeBoeuf: Her four goals accounted for two-thirds of the offense for the Bison when they blanked Grove City 6-0 in a District 10 Class 2A semifinal at Dollinger Field.
Jordyn DiRaimo, Cathedral Prep: The Ramblers made her goal hold up for the only offense in their 1-0 victory vs. General McLane in the district’s 2A semifinal round.
