Fire breaks out at a travel trailer in Midland

MIDLAND, Texas (KOSA) – The Midland Fire Department responded to a travel trailer fire on Sunday, July 24, at approximately 8:45 a.m.

The fire was located on the 4100 block of South County Road 1201, according to the City of Midland.

Officials report two travel trailers were fully engulfed in flames and both of them were deemed a total loss.

A third trailer sustained substantial damage due to radiant heat.

MFD reports there were no injuries reported and the renter of one of the affected trailers is currently being assisted by the Red Cross.

According to MFD, the cause of the fire is believed to be due to an electrical issue.
