Firestone to add dozens of jobs with new Dyersburg facility

DYERSBURG, Tenn. (WMC) – Firestone is opening up a new facility in Dyersburg that will bring dozens of jobs to the area.

Firestone is investing $8.9 million to expand manufacturing and distribution at its Firestone Airide facility in Dyersburg.

The facility at 1901 Sylvan Road will bring in 41 new jobs once opened.

Firestone Airide is a supplier of air springs for electric vehicles.

The springs improve ride comfort and handling, can increase electric vehicle range, and help protect batteries from road impact and overheating.

“Bridgestone is a valued employer and has created jobs for 4,400 Tennesseans across the state. I am proud to take part in announcing another expansion for this global brand and thank both Bridgestone and Firestone Airide for their commitment to investing in Tennessee’s exceptional workforce,” Governor Bill Lee said.
