First Alert Forecast: Turning milder for Christmas travel
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – It will be a cold night across the Midstate but it’s going to turn warmer leading up to Christmas.
It will be another very cold night across the Midstate with temperatures dropping into the 20s again as skies remain clear overnight.

A breezy south wind will warm us up into the low and middle 50s for highs on Monday. Expect a mostly sunny sky.
Clouds begin increasing on Christmas Eve. While the daytime will be mostly dry and cloudy, some showers are possible overnight.
Christmas Day, Wednesday, will be another mild day with highs in the middle to upper 50s. The chance of rain has increased slightly to 40% in Nashville. Showers will not be persistent, but will come and go throughout the day.
Thursday is looking drier than originally expected. It will be a mostly cloudy day with highs around 60 degrees. A stray shower cannot be ruled out.
Friday and Saturday will both feature scattered showers. The rain chance in Nashville for each of those days is 50% as of now.
Temperatures will remain milder than normal through the weekend with highs in the lower 60s. A shower is possible on Sunday morning, but then drier weather is expected.
