First gameplay match footage for Slayer in Guilty Gear Strive is looking quite stylish and dandy

After taking a break from the action for the past few years, one of Guilty Gear’s most beloved characters is finally about to jump back into the battlefield and looking good while doing so.

Ahead of his launch as the last DLC character of Season 3, Slayer has some actual gameplay match footage to check out for Guilty Gear Strive.

Thanks to GameSpot and ShackNews, we now have a total of three full games to look at against Sol Badguy, Johnny and his fellow vampire Nagoriyuki with plenty going on to witness.

There’s plenty of returning moves from his past appearances like we already saw in his new starter guide, but it’s another thing to see how they can be used differently now in Strive’s unique systems for actual matches.

Slayer is set to close out the latest season of Guilty Gear on Thursday, May 30, though we already know a fourth year of content is in the works now too.

Arc System Works could unveil what’s behind the curtain for the future of Strive this weekend at Combo Breaker 2024, but it’s probably more likely that the next big reveal(s) won’t happen until Evo 2024 this Summer.

You can check out Slayer punching some fools really hard and how much effort the devs put into his various animations this time around below.
