Fitness expert Tiffiny Hall offers her ultimate workout advice for women as they age after her milestone 40th birthday: ‘Your body is changing’

Tiffiny Hall reached her milestone 40th birthday this year.

And the fitness guru has changed the way she approaches her workouts as her body changes.

The mother-of-two tells Nine Honey that she’s learned to alternate between intense sessions and softer routines.

‘Your body is constantly changing. So what I’ve learnt from women is that we are incredibly resilient but that we need to listen to our bodies and have, you know, training specific to women [that takes into account these fluctuations]’ she said.

Tiffiny says that swapping ‘high intensity training’ for a day of yoga or pilates – or simply scheduling a ‘rest day’ – works wonders.

A big part of moving forward in your changing body is, ‘not comparing yourself to other people’ she says.

‘Having that mindset of acceptance and self compassion is really important,’ the fitness expert explained.

‘Women’s bodies change rapidly and go through many phases, you know, from being really fit in their 20s to then thinking about conception (if they choose), then pregnancy, then postpartum, then perimenopause, then menopause,’ she said.

‘We’re constantly fluctuating with our hormones’ she added, explaining that it’s not the same for men.

It comes after the television star shared the raw reality of being a mother-of-two.

Tiffiny showed off her ‘mum bod’ in a post to Instagram, encouraging women to be proud of their changing forms after childbirth

She posed in a crop top and fitted bike shorts, her mum tum on display as she beamed for the camera.

‘Love your Mumbod. There were so many shots that I loved from this shoot, I felt so strong and powerful on the day,’ she wrote.

‘But like all mums, depending on how I stand, how I tense my muscles, or how high I wear my pants, my tummy and loose skin can look very different.’

She continued: ‘I don’t want to keep this one in hiding. It took me quite a while to reach the mindset I have today.

‘And sure, I still have my moments, but I can honestly say I love my loose skin as a constant reminder and celebration of my beautiful children, where for a short time my tummy was their home.’

Tiff concluded: ‘For any mums struggling on their own ‘bounce forward’ journey, remember that self love and acceptance doesn’t happen overnight.

‘It comes and goes, and we often have to work hard at it. Nurture and nourish your body every chance you get, be patient, surround yourself with positivity, and above all, be kind to yourself. #lovethelooseskinyourein #mumbod’.

Earlier this year, the celebrity fitness trainer took to Instagram to share her incredible physique in a vibrant bikini after losing a staggering 40kilos following the birth of her second child.

In the image, Tiffiny is seen standing proudly, coconut in hand, in striped swimwear on a beach.

The former Biggest Loser star captioned the image with some heartfelt words.

‘My intention last January was to enjoy the journey back to fitness and feeling strong,’ she wrote.

‘It feels amazing to be here, a year later, having had so much fun with the love and support of my friends, family and trainers. It really is about the journey, not the destination.’

Her approach to wellness has always been holistic, and this time it was no different.

Tiff explained that her accomplishment was not with a fad diet or rigorous scale monitoring, but by celebrating non-scale victories.

‘Running my first KM, keeping up with my kids at the park, learning to squat again after my knee procedure, fitting into an old pair of jeans,’ Tiffiny explained.

She also encouraged the importance of enjoying each step taken towards a healthier self.

‘Thank you for all your lovely messages of motivation and support throughout the year. It really kept me going,’ she wrote, acknowledging the power of collective support in personal journeys.

Tiffiny shares daughter Vada, one, and son Arnold, six, with her comedian husband Ed Kavalee.
