Fitness fanatic, 32, ‘chastised’ by cabin crew for bringing packed lunch containing ‘special’ ingredient onto her flight – but do YOU think it’s acceptable?

A fitness influencer claims to have been chastised by a flight attendant after bringing her own packed lunch along to fit her strict diet.

Vanusa Freitas says she was told other passengers were ‘complaining’ about the smell of her protein-heavy dish as they travelled from London to Spain.

The 32-year-old Playboy model even claims cabin crew threatened to throw the meal away.

‘The flight attendant came to talk to me about the smell being bothersome,’ Vanusa, who has 116,000 followers, said.

‘I always carry my meal prep with me. Everyone who knows me is aware that I follow a strict diet and have a very precise eating schedule.

‘This time was no different. I got on my flight and, of course, brought my pre-portioned food along.’

The Brazilian model, who is based in London, flew from the British capital to Spain at the end of September but said she would ‘prefer not to reveal the airline’s name, despite it being an unpleasant incident’.

For lunch that day, Vanusa has prepared sweet potatoes and eggs.

The influencer, known as the Playboy Fitness Bunny, is a big egg fan – she eats 250 a month to maintain her muscular figure.

Her diet focuses on natural foods rich in proteins and low glycemic index carbohydrates to gain lean muscle mass and aid recovery.

But while they are good for the body, eggs are famously fragrant – and not in the most pleasant way possible.

Vanusa said: ‘I noticed people giving me strange looks, but I didn’t pay much attention.

‘It was only when a flight attendant came over that I realized the smell was bothering others.

‘They told me it was too strong, that other passengers were complaining, and they even considered throwing my meal away because of it.

‘But in the end, I managed to convince them to let me keep it until the flight was over.’

Despite other people’s opinions about her pre-made meals, Vanusa refuses to change her lifestyle.

‘I understand where people are coming from, but it’s complicated,’ she added.

‘I have my lifestyle and need to stick to my diet. We need to find a middle ground, right?

‘Maybe I’ll bring something different next time, but giving up my meal prep? That’s not happening.’

This is not the first time the influencer’s dietary requirements have caused controversy.

In August, she revealed a date was left unimpressed by her bringing a prepared meal to a dinner date at The Shard in London.

Her potential suitor was so put off by the unusual move that he got up and left after Vanusa whipped out the meal prep.
