Five Star Wars projects we’ll likely see at D23’s entertainment showcase

Tonight is the D23 Disney Entertainment showcase with a good chance of major Star Wars announcements, including for these five projects.

Disney’s D23 event has just started over in California with plenty of panels and reveals scheduled for over the weekend. Press previews of the event have offered an idea of what to expect from Marvel, Star Wars and more.

While we wait for biggest news at the Disney Entertainment showcase from 7:00pm PDT (around 10 hours from now), here are some predictions for what Star Wars projects we might be likely to see at the major panel.

Skeleton Crew

Star Wars: Skeleton Crew is almost certainly going to appear at the Disney Entertainment showcase later today.

The series has a presence on the D23 show floor, revealing some new characters and it would be odd to miss the opportunity to promote the show ahead of its December 3 release date.

Andor Season 2

Following comments from actor Stellan Skarsgård earlier this year, a release date for Andor’s second season seems likely to be announced at the Disney Entertainment showcase. Hopefully, this could be accompanied by a teaser trailer.

The Mandalorian & Grogu

Given the appeal of Grogu and by extension The Mandalorian, featuring The Mandalorian & Grogu movie at D23 could be a smart move from Disne. It’s scheduled for release on May 22, 2026, and there may be a chance for more concept art at least at the panel.

Ahsoka Season 2

Similar to The Mandalorian & Grogu, Ahsoka has plenty of appeal with Disney and Star Wars enthusiasts. A first look at Ahsoka’s confirmed second season may be possible at the entertainment showcase as well as a release window.

While we could see any of the upcoming Star Wars movies at the Disney Entertainment showcase, Daisy Ridley’s next film seems to be further along than the others based on comments. It would be a good way to represent the sequel trilogy at the event too, considering that most of the other upcoming Star Wars projects are based in the other eras.
