Glacier Raft Co. named one of best in U.S.
Pursuit’s Glacier Raft Co. has been selected by Newsweek’s expert panelists and contributors and voted on by readers as one of the best whitewater rafting adventures in the U.S.
Glacier Raft Co. was the only Montana rafting company included. The top 10 list includes outfitters from across the U.S., including Idaho, Arizona and Utah that offer rafting from Class I rapids to Class V, from beginners to experts.
The nominees are editorially driven with contributions from a panel of travel experts. The final list is determined by Newsweek editors with input from reader’s voting.
“We are honored to be included in Newsweek’s Best Whitewater Adventures list alongside these other notable rafting outfitters,” says Rob Spence, vice president and general manager of Glacier Park Collection by Pursuit. “For the past 48 years, Glacier Raft Co. guides have welcomed guests to this beautiful part of the world. Working with our employees, partners and members of the community, we will continue to be stewards of the Flathead River for years to come.”
Newsweek noted Glacier Raft Co.’s commitment to community and sustainability, referencing annual river trash clean-ups. In addition, Glacier Raft Co. also supports the community through Rafting for a Cause which provides $5 from each ticket purchased on a specific day toward a local organization.
Ace Hardware stores honored
Glacier Ace Hardware in Evergreen and Columbia Falls Ace Hardware have achieved the designation as Pinnacle Performance Retailing stores for their outstanding performance from the Ace Hardware Corporation.
Developed as part of Ace’s retail growth strategy, Higher Ground, Pinnacle Performance Retailing is focused on Ace’s customers to ensure that Ace stores deliver on its helpful brand promise.
With more than 5,800 stores in approximately 60 countries, the teams at Glacier and Columbia Falls Ace Hardware stores are two of only a few hundred Ace retailers to achieve this elite Pinnacle status. To achieve this, the teams at both stores successfully completed a number of key performance drivers focused on quality, service and convenience, helping them provide a better overall shopping experience in their local community.
“Achieving Pinnacle Performance Retailing is a tremendous accomplishment for an Ace store,” said John Kittell, vice president of retail operations and new business for Ace.
Matt Dowdell, owner of Glacier and Columbia Falls Ace Hardware locations, praised the achievement.
“It’s always rewarding to receive acknowledgment for our dedication,” he said. “Our team always strives to exceed expectations, provide exceptional customer service and spread kindness in our community. The success we enjoy is largely due to our loyal customers and the incredible community in the Flathead Valley. We feel privileged to serve such a wonderful community.”
