A yellow weather warning for rain and 36 flood warnings are in place across the region, as well as a yellow weather warning for snow and ice covering Shropshire and Staffordshire.

Rail lines are blocked between Hereford and Worcester Shrub Hill stations due to heavy rainfall.

West Midlands Railway said rail replacement bus services had been arranged for affected travellers.

The A53 at Gravelly Hill, near Newcastle-under-Lyme, Staffordshire, was impassable due to snow, according to travel service INRIX.
