Food! Music! Entertainment! The Englewood Night Market returns this month
Mark your calendar — the Englewood Night Market is back.
The market, with its live music, family fun and food and drink vendors, lines up along East Palisade Avenue from Engle Street to Van Brunt in Englewood from 5-11 p.m. Wednesday, July 17 (rain date July 18).
Sponsored by Englewood Health, the market is bigger than ever, celebrating the City of Englewood’s 125th anniversary.
Kicking off the live entertainment on the main stage on Van Brunt Street, facing east will be the BergenPAC Performing Arts School students performing pieces from their summer musical, “The Wizard of Oz.” The BergenPAC staff will then sing tributes to Englewood musicians like Tony Bennett, Dizzy Gillespie and Wilson Pickett.
Additional entertainment will follow with The Steve Johnson Band performing 80’s dance hits. The band Soulsa will perform Latin-inspired and modern rock music and The Awesome 2 will celebrate 50 years of hip-hop.
Blue Akai will be sponsoring a bar for the block party that will feature a variety of cocktails, beverages and beers as well as the specialty Mexican and Japanese cuisine from their restaurant. In addition, there will be more than 30 food and beverage items from local Englewood businesses, restaurants and the best food trucks in the area, so come hungry.
Take a walk through time and some of the history of the City of Englewood as documented by The Record at the (201) Magazine and NorthJersey.com tent. Be sure to take a photo at the interactive photo booth.
Porsche Englewood, Subaru of Englewood and Audi Englewood are the auto sponsors at the event, so check out the beautiful vehicles featured throughout the event.
For families, the Shirvan Family Live Well Center will have programming for kids, there will be carnival games and more.
