Football Travels to Tulane – Temple

THIS WEEK
Temple travels to New Orleans, Louisiana, to take on the Tulane Green Wave on Saturday, November 9. Kickoff is set for 4:00 p.m. at Yulman Stadium and will air on ESPNU.

LAST WEEK

The Owls were on their second of two byes last week. The week prior, Temple fell to East Carolina, 34-56. ECU RB Rahjai Harris led the Pirates’ effort, rushing for 130 yards and adding a touchdown. In all, eight East Carolina players found the endzone in the Pirates’ homecoming win.

WR Ashton Allen caught two touchdowns for Temple, including a 60-yard deep ball in the first half. The senior finished with 109 receiving yards, which led the team. Despite the loss, QB Evan Simon turned in a nice day, throwing for 294 yards and three touchdowns. LB Tyquan King led the Owls defense fro the fifth straight game with eight tackles, while DE Tra Thomas and SAF Javier Morton each added an interception.

LAST TIME VS. TULANE

Despite being in the same conference, Temple has not met Tulane since the 2020 season. In that meeting, Tulane won 38-3 in front of a limited-capacity crowd at Yulman Stadium. Green Wave WR Deuce Watts led the game with 114 receiving yards, while adding two touchdown receptions as well.

Tulane QB Michael Pratt threw for 205 passing yards and an interception, which was hauled in by Temple CB Christian Braswell.

Prior to this meeting, Temple last played Tulane in 2019, a game in which the Owls won 29-21 at Lincoln Financial Field. Temple WR Jadan Blue caught 12 passes for 131 yards and a touch- down in the winning effort, and WR Kenny Yeboah added two touchdowns of his own.

Defensively, DE Quincy Roche wrecked havoc in the trenches, finishing the game with three sacks, and leading all players with 10 tackles.

UP NEXT

The Owls return home to Lincoln Financial Field next week to take on the Florida Atlantic Owls on Saturday, November 16. The kickoff time will be 2 p.m. and the game will be broadcast on ESPN+.
