Fortnite Beats Its Concert Attendance Record With 14.3 Mi…

Suppose there were ever any concerns about whether Fortnite had peaked in popularity. In that case, they can be put to rest now that it’s been announced that its latest concert, featuring Juice WRLD, Ice Spice, Eminem, and Snoop Dogg has propelled its player count to 14.3 million people.

Fortnite posted in 2021 that a Galactus event they’d hosted had 15.3 million players — making this their second largest player count ever.

Fortnite’s virtual concerts usually focus on specific artists like Ariana Grande, Travis Scott, and even Big Sean. But for its latest concert, Fortnite switched things up, bringing together three of the most popular rappers alive — and one deceased — for kaiju-style performances.

Their shows were all drastically different. Snoop whisked players to space after a giant version of himself performed, followed by Eminem fighting a giant robot in the middle of a store, and then Ice Spice joined in for the massive-sized fun.

Things ended with Juice WRLD’s avatar performing two songs while turning players into butterflies. At the end of the event, Fortnite premiered Juice WRLD’s new video for “Empty Out Your Pockets.”

The concert coincided with the reveal of the playable Fortnite island called “Juice WRLD: The Party Never Ends” which launched today (Nov. 30). On the island, players can listen to snippets of the late rapper’s previously unreleased tracks as well as his hit songs “Lucid Dreams,” “Robbery,” “Wishing Well,” and “Come and Go.”
