Fremantle Signs New Five-Year Deal With Jamie Oliver

Fremantle and the Jamie Oliver Group are extending their partnership in a big way.

The new five-year agreement between the pair, who have been working together for more than two decades, will see them explore new entertainment opportunities. Fremantle will hold global rights to Oliver’s TV Distribution, AVoD, FAST and digital platforms. Its Jamie Oliver FAST channel, which features a collection of the British cook’s shows, is currently available across 14 distribution platforms, including Pluto TV, Roku, and exclusively on Samsung TV in the UK, Germany and Nordics.

Fremantle, which has been Oliver’s distribution partner since 2002, said it will work closely with the Jamie Oliver team to further expand his digital footprint, following the launch of his TV library on YouTube in the U.S., with the objective of continuing to grow digital audiences.

The celebrity chef and restaurant owner’s prolific TV fare includes the likes of Jamie’s 15 Minute Meals, Jamie: Keep Cooking and Carry On and Jamie Cooks Christmas.

Bob McCourt, Chief Operating Officer, Commercial and International at Fremantle, said: “We’re proud of the long-standing relationship that we have with Jamie to bring his content to a global audience. We’re incredibly excited to be continuing our partnership and look forward to expanding our offering across TV distribution, FAST, digital and branded entertainment.”

Jamie Oliver Group MD Zoe Collins added: “We’re so proud of our back catalogue of shows and so I’m also thrilled to find new ways to bring that content to new audiences and adding to Jamie’s real world legacy.”

Earlier this year, Fremantle partnered with media outfit Tastemade on a slate of Oliver series.
