French Alps 2030 – Winter sport for all

French Alps 2030 has a strong vision for the Paralympic Games, to promote adaptive sport and ensure that winter sports are accessible to everyone for many years to come.

French Alps 2030 will work with stakeholders to use the Games as a catalyst to ensure that mountain resorts and venues meet French tourism and accessibility standards. In the lead-up to 2030, the host regions have committed to further develop their experience in hosting elite winter Para sports events.

Building on the momentum of Paris 2024, there are ambitions for French Alps 2030 to extend programmes to promote the health benefits of sport to the winter context, including by continuing with an Olympic and Paralympic Week, extending the youth education programme Generation 2024 to 2030, and staging a mass participation event, such as a cross-country skiing race for all, in the style of the Paris 2024 Marathon Pour Tous.
