From ‘Rockstar’ to Fashion Star: Lisa Lands New Role With Louis Vuitton

The fashion brand has tapped the singer as its newest House Ambassador, citing her trendsetting style and influence

It’s shaping up to be a big summer for Lisa.

Hot off the release of her sizzling solo single, “Rockstar,” the Blackpink star has just been announced as the newest House Ambassador for Louis Vuitton. Lisa appears in a series of new images accompanying the announcement, and is expected to work with the iconic fashion brand on upcoming campaigns and events.

Lisa’s involvement with LV was first teased in March, when the singer and rapper attended the Louis Vuitton Women’s Fall/Winter 2024 show in Paris as a guest of the fashion house. In a press release, Louis Vuitton heralds Lisa as being “instrumental in redefining today’s global music culture.”

“Across the board, Lisa sets trends and approaches her craft with fearless authenticity,” the press release adds. “Her bold sartorial choices notably reflect [Louis Vuitton Women’s Artistic Director] Nicolas Ghesquière’s own strong womenswear vision marked by individuality and empowerment.”

The news of Lisa’s new ambassador role comes on the heels of “Rockstar,” which debuted at number four on the Billboard Global 200 chart and number one on YouTube’s Global Weekly Chart, where the music video has 127 million views and counting. Lisa is also set to star in the third season of the HBO hit, The White Lotus, which recently wrapped filming in her native Thailand.

“I am very excited to welcome Lisa as a House Ambassador,” Ghesquière says. “She has a daring spirit and charisma that I find incredibly compelling. She is as bold and creative with her music as she is with her fashion, and it is a privilege to accompany her on this journey.”

While Pharrell has been at the helm of Louis Vuitton’s men’s collections, full details of Lisa’s partnership with the fashion house have yet to be announced, though the brand adds that it “looks forward to an exciting collaborative journey ahead.”

Lisa isn’t the only Blackpink member to land a new partnership: Jennie was recently unveiled as the face of the new Beats Solo Buds campaign.
